The Secrets to Superhuman

Your health is your superpower.

Father’s Day…A day that is not as recognized for the great fathers, as much as it should be. On Mother’s Day, the focus for many is on  encouraging “self-care” for the hard working, selfless Moms, which is well deserved. However many overlook the need for fathers to do the same. We are required to be superhuman day in and day out. We hustle, we love, we cater, we provide, we protect, we shelter, but oftentimes we don’t do any of that for our own selves. We are wired to be those things for everyone else from family, to colleagues, to friends, etc. However recognizing the need for those same accommodations for ourselves is vital because we need moments to rejuvenate as well.

Protect your mind and body.

Our health and our mindsets need to be protected and in order to fulfill our fatherly and manly duties efficiently. We should be exercising at least four days a week to keep our heart rate up and our muscles functioning so that we can continue to be the Superheroes we were created to be in every aspect of our lives. Finding time to do a minimum of as little as 50-100 push ups, sit ups, and squats per week, will do enough to keep our bodies tuned up and functioning in a healthy way.

Sit in silence.

We also need to find time to spend in silence with ourself and with our Creator, just so that our minds remain renewed and focused on what is important.

To all the fathers out there that needed to hear this, your day is everyday, so make sure that your minds, and your bodies are in tact and prepared to continue to “Save The World.”
