Strong Home Network Community Crisis Response

At Strong Home Network, our mission is to strengthen families by providing resources that foster communication and positive relationships. We are a 501(c)3 Nonprofit, and in times of crisis, we step up to meet urgent needs. Since the California wildfires started on January 7th, we have joined forces with other local organizations with a similar mission set to up large-scale operations in Altadena, Pasadena and surrounding locations to help serve those affected by the devastation.

  • Millions in in-kind donations were contributed by individuals and corporations.

Items Still Needed:

Many displaced families have now exhausted their Airbnb vouchers and hotel credits, yet they still have nowhere to go. For those fortunate enough to have a car, everything they own is packed into the trunk, while others have even less. With no kitchen to prepare meals, the daily cost of feeding their families is rising fast, adding to their struggle. Please consider donating these URGENTLY needed items to help provide relief during this critical time.

URGENT ITEMS NEEDED:

  • Food Gift Cards
  • Restaurant Gift Cards
  • Gas Gift Cards
  • Monetary Donations

Phase 1: We’ve distributed and will continue to distribute essential items and to provide immediate relief to those that have been affected.

Phase 2: We’re transitioning to temporary housing, FEMA application assistance, wellness checks, and mental health support. We have secured several units in Los Angeles that are available for families in need of shelter, and we are now on a mission to raise $750,000 to keep them housed for three to six months while they determine their next steps.

Phase 3:  Creating a plan to work together to help establish an endowment and begin strategizing for community rebuilding and future crisis prevention and preparation
