The Gift of Health

June 13-19 is Men’s Health week this year, and the 19th is also Father’s Day. A thoughtful and extremely useful gift for Dad might be a unique fitness class that the two of you can take together, like Krav Maga, Zumba, boxing, OrangeTheory, or a classic fitness class like core power yoga, spin, or kickboxing that dad may want to take on his own. Fitness classes obviously have multiple benefits to dad’s overall health, but also can add some fun and connection to your relationship with your father as well if you do them together. Gifting fitness classes to dad on Father’s Day can have several positive effects:

1. Encourages a healthy lifestyle

2. Sets a great example for those who look up to him

3. Helps reduce stress

4. Puts less tension and pressure on his body

5. Grants a longer life expectancy

Giving a fitness class to dad for Father’s Day can show him how much you value him and his health; it says “Dad, I care about your well being, and I want you around for as long as I can have you.” Such a considerate gift can be a great way to start the conversation about health and fitness with your family as you make health a priority together.
