The Challenge to Heal

Have you ever found yourself grappling with the deep wounds of a painful experience or trauma, only to feel an even heavier weight of overwhelming despair at the thought of the daunting journey that lies ahead for healing?

My name is Jennifer Triana. I am a mom of three, an entrepreneur and a real estate agent in three states. For my business, Coast 2 Coast, I specialize in helping first time home buyers, military families and helping people go from renters to homeowners/investors. This journey all started back in 2016 when the idea of getting into house flipping seemed to be more beneficial if I obtained my real estate license. Since then, I have worked to balance motherhood, marriage, my business, and my health.

In 2019, I was faced with a huge challenge prompting me to start a new chapter in healing. I ended up leaving an unhealthy marriage and as many can attest to, breaking up your family isn’t easy. I had to overcome the judgement that would follow. I spent many nights crying myself to sleep and putting on a mask during the day. I knew that 2020 had to be my year, despite the pandemic that hit us worldwide.

Although not everyone can relate to having a child at the young age of 18, watching their dad die in their hands, going through a divorce, and enduring sexual, mental, and physical abuse throughout their young adult life; These are experiences that I have had to overcome. It skewed my outlook on life until 2019, when my divorce showed me that, for the sake of my kids, I had to do all I could to be better and do better.

I think, as women, many of us face these challenges and don’t know where to start or how to get back on our feet. In some cases, we may not even see it as obtainable. Yet, as a mother, there really isn’t much I wouldn’t do for my children. I came to realize that this included my own healing for their benefit, and it was imperative that I chose to heal for them. I worked hard to do that.

In 2020, I filed for divorced, paid off our debt, set up a goal to buy my first house with my own money. I did just that. I packed up the kids and bought my absolute dream home across the country. There’s nothing more liberating than being able to say that you reached your own goal. Not only did I buy my first home, I went on to rent it out and make enough on the rent to cover the mortgage and make a profit that I could use towards my family. I eventually sold it and was able to profit over $100,000.

My personal message to everyone is that despite whatever trauma or traumas you’ve endured in your life, I am living proof that you can be a lotus in this life. You can still blossom into something beautiful and magnificent despite being thrown into a dirty murky pond. Determine in your heart that healing is necessary and then put the necessary work into pursuing that healing process. I promise, it’s worth it.
