Strong Home: Lessons or values that your mother instilled in you, which contributed to your own independence?
Bow Wow: Believe in God family first, always go after what I want to achieve in live stay humble and always be respectful
SH: How do you instill a sense of self-belief and confidence in your children to help them navigate the world independently?
Bow Wow: I don’t let my kids say “Can’t” because the brain programs data and she needs to always know that she is a Moss and she CAN do anything. I am the Hype Man to my kids. I love to build their confidence.
SH: approaches do you use to empower your children to become independent individuals?
Bow Wow: I am always talking to my daughter because she is the oldest. She always wants to spend MY money. I tell her that at her age I became a millionaire when I was her age, and she never wants to owe anyone anything and she wants to be independent and self-sufficient where she doesn’t have to depend on anyone. I talk to her about finances, taxes, financial education, credit and information that I know for a fact that they do not teach our kids in the education system which is the actual things that they need.
SH: How do you balance being a nurturing parent while fostering independence in your children?
Bow Wow: I’m a cool dad. But at the same time I really emphasize independence for them because I do not want them to have to rely on anyone. I take care of them, but teach them to get their own.
SH: What advice would you give to other parents who aspire to raise independent children?
Bow Wow: Just be there for your kids. Be present. You never want to look back and regret times that you missed because you were not there. Life is the best teacher.

Welcome to the StrongHome Network, the superhero of family support organizations! We're like the Avengers, but instead of fighting aliens, we're dedicated to helping families, especially those in the glitzy world of entertainment, to rebuild and strengthen their family units.

Our website is a treasure trove of resources and educational programs, designed to turn your family into a well-oiled, harmonious machine. We're all about financial stability (no more fighting over who spent too much on takeout), physical fitness (yes, chasing your toddler counts as cardio), and a positive mindset (because a family that laughs together, stays together).
We believe that a strong home isn't just about having the biggest TV or the fastest Wi-Fi. It's about prioritizing family, practicing the three C's - commitment, appreciation, and communication - every day, and being able to withstand the storm of adversity and challenges together. We're talking about the real-life version of 'The Incredibles' here!
Faith, fitness, and finances are our holy trinity for creating a strong home. We also offer a program called LUV YOUNIVERSITY, because who said learning can't be fun? And if you're into the glitz and glam, we've got a section for SHN Magazines and Celebrity Features.
We're not just about taking, we're about giving too. Our website provides opportunities for you to donate and share your personal stories. Because every family is unique, and we want to hear about your crazy Aunt Susan or your dog who thinks he's a cat.
Our website also features a blog with recent articles on everything from the power of kindness to the freedom of fitness. And if you're in the mood for some retail therapy, we've got a shop for Strong Home family products.
So, come on in, make yourself at home. At StrongHome Network, we're all about helping families build resilience, create a strong foundation, and most importantly, have a good laugh while doing it!
