Auntie’s Love Song: Patience and Promise

In the dance of life, I’ve played a part,

Auntie to many, with love at heart.

No child of mine, yet I’ve held their hands,

Guided their steps, across life’s sands.

As a teacher, a mentor, a trusted guide,

In their young eyes, my love abides.

Their laughter, their tears, their dreams untold,

In their world, my love unfolds.

I’ve nurtured hopes, like seeds in bloom,

In classrooms bright, and living rooms.

I’ve woven dreams, in bedtime tales,

Held them close, when darkness veils.

For every giggle, every tender touch,

I cherish moments, I love them much.

Though my arms ache for my own to hold,

I’ll wait in love, till my story’s told.

For family’s not just blood and kin,

It’s love’s embrace, where hearts begin.

So, I’ll nurture, I’ll care, I’ll be a light,

Till God’s timing brings my own delight.

For in the tapestry of family’s weave,

Each thread of love, each heart’s believe.

So here I stand, in love’s embrace,

Patiently waiting, with love and grace.
