Master P, Hip Hop legend and Financial Equality Advocate speaks on pushing through the most difficult time in his life following the death of his daughter due to an accidental drug overdose.
Q: What was it like to transition from poverty into wealth and fame, and how are you able to stay grounded and humble now that you have been so successful?
A: My journey from poverty to having money and living a totally different lifestyle was an extreme transition. As you can imagine, it was not easy, but it was worth all the hard work it took and continues to take to change my life for me and my family. I know who I am as a man and more importantly a family man, and I do my best to be the strongest example for my children. If you are not sure who you are as an individual, you can get caught up and not be able to sustain. Knowing what is most important in life will keep you focused on your goals.
Q: What do you tend to do when you find yourself facing challenging transitions, and What advice do you give to others who are experiencing life-altering changes in this season?
A: I put my faith and trust in God, and I know all is well. If you stand firmly in your faith and not waver, trusting God, you will get through any situation or circumstance.
