Over the years I have become so much more graceful in how I deal with others. I recently caught myself being overly patient and exceedingly kind to others around me in what I considered to be “undeserving” moments. I relished in those moments and congratulated myself on my own personal growth because my past actions would not have reflected such extended mercy or grace to others. However, there were so many times where I have needed, and even expected to be given, grace in areas where I may not have deserved it. Those moments taught me how to reciprocate that gesture of grace to others out of love and a true desire to encourage others to change by giving them the time and the opportunity to do so through the extension of grace. Speaking truth in love, forgiving one another, serving one another, and building one another up in words and in actions are all incredible ways to give the most precious and priceless gift of all this holiday season. So call your parents and tell them you forgive them; tell your spouse there is another chance. Reduce your child’s punishment ( just remember to still set boundaries), and continue to love and forgive as God has done for you. Happy Giving!
Love, Melissa,
