Jesse Vargas
Jesse Vargas is a Mexican American former world champion in two weight classes. In 2014, he held the WBA (Regular) and IBO super lightweight titles, along with the WBO welterweight title in 2016. BoxRec has ranked him as the world’s eleventh best active welterweight. In the days before his professional career, he had an amateur career record of 120 wins and 20 losses. Through his professional career, he was a two-time U.S. junior national champion, a two-time Mexican national champion, and he was on Mexico’s team in the 2008 Olympics.
