Founders Jeff and Melissa Reed’s story is one of resilience, faith, and purpose. After both experienced 15+ years of marriages that ended in divorce, they found each other and blended their families, uniting Jeff’s son and Melissa’s daughter under one roof. Together, they built a partnership that merges entrepreneurial excellence, creativity, and a deep passion for helping families thrive.

Through years of work in Hollywood, ranging from celebrity event production and talent management to operating a prominent soundstage, the Reeds witnessed firsthand how the demands of the entertainment industry can strain relationships and erode family life. This realization inspired them to create a movement that would refocus attention on what truly matters: faith, healing, and family wholeness.

As Certified Marriage Coaches trained in Psychological First Aid and Trauma-Informed Care, Jeff and Melissa approach their mission with both personal empathy and professional skill. They understand the impact of trauma, burnout, and disconnection within families, and they’ve dedicated their lives to helping others restore communication, rebuild trust, and rediscover purpose.

That mission became StrongHome Network (SHN)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families recover, rebuild, and thrive. Since the California wildfires, SHN has supported families throughout Altadena, Pasadena, and Los Angeles County, offering crisis recovery, wraparound services, and personal development programs that strengthen the foundation of family life.

StrongHome is more than an organization; it is a movement dedicated to restoring stability, faith, and connection within the home. Through its five core pillars of Family, Fitness, Faith, Finances, and Personal Development, SHN equips individuals and families with the resources they need to heal, grow, and thrive together.

Our Impact:

• Helped mobilize over 700 volunteers to provide direct community support

• Helped distribute more than $10 million in donated essential goods

• Helped serve 8,000+ families impacted by wildfires and community crises

• Continued provisions of ongoing wraparound recovery services that help families rebuild and thrive

Our Focus Areas: 

Family: Parenting courses, marital workshops, support groups, and youth programs that strengthen bonds. Signature events like Fighting Fair Father-Son Boxing and Recipe for Love Date Night foster connection and communication.

Fitness: Wellness programs, yoga, dance, boxing, self-defense, and youth initiatives like SkateFresh, promoting active and healthy lifestyles.

Faith: TeenTalk youth discipleship, prayer groups, and Bible studies that cultivate spiritual growth and practical faith in everyday life.

Finances: Financial education, entrepreneurship courses, and college prep programs that equip families with the tools to build stability and generational wealth.

Personal Development: Leadership, communication, goal-setting, and trauma-informed growth workshops that empower individuals to reach their full potential personally and professionally.
